What’s on the Menu?

That’s a loaded question and frankly, it doesn’t necessarily mean we’re talking about food anymore! What’s on the Menu? aka. WOTM means, ‘Hey, what’s going on?”
I started this site in 2011 after my friends would ask me what was happening around Stamford. (for some reason, I’d always know) We’d ask each other, “so, what’s on the menu for tonight?” I figured it would be a lot easier to just put some happenings up on a site we could all have access to.
One thing led to another and soon WOTM had a Facebook and Twitter…then Instagram and a following that has grown to more than I could have imagined.
And now here we are, several years later and WOTM has grown to be so much more. If you follow us on FB, you know that I post about all sorts of things going on around Stamford. Our nightly Quick-Hit Happenings lists let you know where to head out to hear your favorite DJs, local LIVE bands or sing your hearts out at Karaoke. But it’s so much more than that…
Follow WOTM on social and you know that I’ve been fortunate enough to work with the Historical Center promoting their happenings and even worked with them on an archaeological dig right here in the city. You know that I post about local lost pets and try to help get them back home where they belong. You know that I’ve posted about newsworthy events such as storm warnings, road closures and even cooling and heating centers when our New England weather decides to have it’s ‘fun’ with us. And you may know that I’ve been honored to be a part of the local press to cover local events such as the Taste of Stamford and Greenwich Wine & Food.
What I’m saying here is that What’s on the Menu? has become something much more than just a spot to find a menu or two and as time goes by, we hope to keep helping Stamford residents learn more about where they live and get the most out of it that they possibly can.
While admittedly I focus more on the social side of WOTM, here on the site you’ll be able to find where you’re having your next Sunday Brunch fix, learn about some of the history of our city and read up on the bigger events that happen around these parts.

Hello there! Please forgive how late I am in responding. I’ll certainly check out your group–great idea btw! Although we’re not a technically a ‘food site’ as far as reviews and stuff. We more let you know what’s going on, I hope that’s ok? We’re in the process of revamping the site as well so don’t know where it will take us, but the journey has been fun.
