We normally don’t post weekend happenings, but this weekend there is a whole lot going on in Stamford–we know we won’t hit everything but wanted to give you a sample. These events are a great way to Keep Weekends Local!

Fraternal Order of Eagles Flea Market: 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at 688 Main St. This is open to the public and is an indoor/outdoor market and part of the proceeds will go to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.

Stamford Lions Club: Harlem Wizards will be performing at Westhill High on Saturday at 7:30pm! Tickets will be sold at $10/student and $12/general in advance; $12/$14 at the gate.  Also available are $25 VIP tickets that include a pre-game “Meet & Greet” with the Wizards, souvenirs and reserved front row tickets. Stamford STEMfest: Fantastic event being held at Mill River Park on Saturday (rain date Sunday) featuring a variety of activities for kids of all ages involving: Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (in other words STEM). Fairfield County Women’s Expo: Annual event being held at the Stamford Plaza Hotel 11-5 both Saturday and Sunday. Fun time with lots of shopping opportunities, samples, Dancing With the Stars (yeah, the real guys!) and chances to win some great prizes. PAWS: Uncorked!: Fundraiser being held at the Stamford Marriott on Sunday from 5-8pm. Lots of food and drinks from local area restaurants and BevMax…silent auction and gift items as well. North Stamford Exchange Club: First Annual Chili Challenge!! Sunday April 27, 2014 from 1-4 pm at Trinity Catholic High School–all proceeds will go to Exchange Club Parenting Skills Center of Stamford. Tickets are a $10 donation, children under 10 are free.
